We have recently renovated the old Coach House and Theatre into 4 accommodation units which can sleep up to 50 people. In 2019 we will be renovating the old nursery into 6 holiday cottages. 

Meeting Spaces

We have a range of spaces from period Georgian rooms to more modern conference/ banqueting rooms. All rooms have fast wifi and access to modern AV equipment.   


We have a wide range of facilities on site, with a new swimming pool coming into use in late 2019. We have large recreational and games facilities for visitors to enjoy. 


We have turned the houses old kitchen into a beautiful bar/cafe using reclaimed wood from the site. We have a well stocked bar and sell a wide range of hot drinks.  


We have over 30 acres of beautiful grounds and ancient woodlands for you to explore. You can enjoy a picnic in the woods or undertake one of our courses in the grounds. 


We can provide a variety of refreshment using locally sourced quality produce. We welcome external caterers to use our large commercial kitchen and can recommend some excellent local catering companies. 

Fire Pit

Coming in 2019 enjoy a roaring fire in the Tawstock Woods around our beautiful fire pit. Perhaps even toast some marshmallows and enjoy a hot chocolate.  


In 2019 we will be offering our guests the chance to do some Glamping in our grounds. Whether it is part of a wedding/event or you are just coming on holiday it is sure to be a relaxing way to enjoy North Devon.

1000 Years of History

Tawstock Court is a place of history. Mentioned in the Domesday Book. We have been visited by a King, the headquarters for a Civil war general and a private school for 70 years whose past alumni include notable MPs

The Owners

Tawstock Court is owned and operated by the Peryer family. We purchased the property in 2012 and have spent 6 years  restoring the buildings. We love Tawstock Court and want to make sure every guest to Tawstock feel welcome and have a rewarding time visiting us.

We make sure that Tawstock Court is accessible to all of our guests within the limitations of being a Listed Georgian Building.

We have a fully accessible ground floor bedroom  which has an accessible bathroom and power assisted curtains. There is also space for a carer to stay in the room. Please let us know if you would like this room as part of your booking.

The main house is accessible to disabled guests. There are three steps which separate the front of the building from the back of the building and we can put a ramp down to access all parts of the building though some assistance may be needed to go up this ramp. We have a disabled toilet on site. Accessibility Plan

We have large amounts of hardstanding parking available on site. If it is a summer event and dependent on weather we also have some grass parking available for your event. In addition we can arrange marshals who can organise parking for your event.
