Courtyard Improvements
Written by Jake Peryer on .
We are into the second lockdown in what has been a truly unprecedented year. Although our business has been dramatically affected we have taken the opportunity to make a few improvements to Tawstock Court. One of the main things we have done over the Summer was to make the already unique Courtyard space into something even more special.
We have created a number of new areas in the courtyard. Firstly we have built a large and completely bespoke Pergola made from locally sourced Cedar and constructed by a fantastic local craftperson, Ian Davies. Strung with thousands of lights and having a clear roof fitted in the beginning of 2021 it will make the most delightful outside space where friends and family can eat and drink in a truly unique setting on our handbuilt reclaimed wood tables.
Near the door to the bar we have created a large decking area and this is the perfect outdoor space for smaller events and parties. Made from reclaimed wood from Tawstock Court it looks out onto the Pergola and the rest of the courtyard. It would make the ideal location to have a band or some evening entertainment! The Courtyard and decking’s perimeter is lit up and we can change the lighting colours to suit your personal style as well as putting in lighting effects for dancing and partying.
Near the archway we have built two large swing benches where you can while away the hours watching all of the fun and shenanigans happening. There is also space where we have a number of garden games to be enjoyed and a convenient point where street food suppliers can hook up their stands to complete the perfect wedding space.
We cannot wait to welcome you back in 2021 so that you can start to use our new spaces. 🙂
