Wow – What Can We Say

“We are still reliving our wedding last month at the beautiful Tawstock Court. As soon as we stepped inside the door we knew it was where we wanted our wedding! Laura has been amazing throughout the whole process, willing to answer any questions and the door is always open for a look at the new developments. When we booked our wedding, there was still a lot of work to be done, but Laura and her family certainly didn’t disappoint, with every room more beautiful than we could have ever imagined!

The accommodation has been finished to a brilliant standard, all of our guests loved their stay, and all commented on how stunning their rooms (and the views) were. The honeymoon suite is extra special, and is perfectly set up for hair and makeup on the morning, with lots of space and great lighting. We can’t thank Laura and her team enough for all of their support on the day, everything ran so smoothly and we’ve lost count of the number of lovely comments we’ve had regarding the venue! So thank you for making our day so special, not just for us but all of our guests too!”

The Whole Experience Exceeded Expectations.

We recently had our wedding at Tawstock Court and the whole experience has absolutely exceeded expectations and we could not be happier! There really is something so special about this venue and the family behind it. Despite planning our wedding from Australia, communication and planning with Laura has been faultless and everything came together perfectly.

Alongside having exclusive use of the beautiful venue for the day, we also decided along with our overseas guests to stay at the venue for the whole weekend. The accommodation is wonderful, and honeymoon suite in particular a really fabulous space which has evidently been well thought through.

We can’t wait to follow along as this beautiful venue continues to develop and look forward to hopefully popping back in for many years to come. ✨

Where To Start

My husband and I got married at Tawstock Court on May bank holiday this year. Where to start? Perfect venue- check. Perfect weather-check. Perfect hosts-check.

As soon as we walked around the venue and met Laura and her team we knew we were going to have an amazing day. Nothing is too much trouble for Laura and you can see she truly loves what she’s doing.

Tawstock Court itself used to be a school and the renovation job they have achieved is out of this world, leaving all the best bits and restoring all that makes the venue unique.

The accommodation they have built for wedding guests is also amazing, as was the breakfast our guests were treated to the next day.

We can’t have been the easiest wedding party to manage as many of our guests were from London and Portugal. But Laura was the perfect host from start to finish.

I would recommend Tawstock Court without hesitation- so much so that my sister-in-law is getting married there around Christmas time next year! Would rate them 10 stars if possible.

Outstanding All Round

We weren’t expecting Tawstock to feel like “our kind of venue” having previously had our hearts set on a barn or marquee on the cliffs… but Laura and Tawstock instantly captivated us and our wedding became something more perfect for us than we could have ever imagined.
A few highlights:

Laura and co – first and foremost, Laura is the most amazing person to work with in the run up to our wedding and I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else running the show on the day, she was phenomenal. As were all her staff.

Inside and outside ceremony choices where neither would have felt second best.

Fantastic flexible space allowing you to create the perfect flow for the day, whatever the weather.

Gorgeous central bar area, keeping people near the action.

Beautiful courtyard.

High quality on-site accommodation.

The list is really the tip of the iceberg… it is impossible to describe the feel and potential of Tawstock Court. It’s a “blank canvas” with such warmth and charm. This venue will allow you to create whatever feel you’d like for your wedding day. I would urge anyone to have a viewing here, even if you aren’t sure if it’s “your kind of venue” we didn’t think it was ours… we couldn’t have been more wrong.

We Fell In Love

As soon as we saw Tawstock Court we fell in love with the place as a venue; add to that how welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable Laura is and you have the perfect wedding venue.
 
The building has been lovingly renovated and is truly beautiful. The accommodation is comfortable and fresh while retaining features of the original buildings and the shared lounge/ dining/kitchen area with its beautiful views was ideal for family to gather in.
 
Laura, Jake, and their team were fabulous and worked so hard to make us welcome and ensure our daughter’s wedding went without a hitch.

We want to get MARRIED ALL OVER AGAIN!!

WOW is all we can say – we got married on the 14th June 2019, we hired the whole venue as well as all the rooms, some campers too…From the moment we stepped foot at Tawstock we knew this is our wedding venue!
 
Laura and jake have gone above and beyond to do what they could to make our wedding the best day ever!
We had the first wedding ever outside in the gatehouse – yes it rained! BUT we still went ahead as everyone (including the registrar was happy) again Laura, jake and the team couldn’t be more helpful and put us at ease throughout the day.
 
The honeymoon suite was exceptional with the attention to detail being second to none let alone all the other rooms were again outstanding – everyone commented on how nice, comfortable and fantastic the facilities, breakfast etc all was!
 
We want to get MARRIED ALL OVER AGAIN!!
