Royal Icing is a stunning medium to work in and will enhance all of your cake creations. 8th April Day 1 Designed for beginners, this course will introduce students to a range of traditional decorative piping skills to include shells, scrolls, cornelli, line work, lettering, and how to develop these basics to create more elaborate effects. 9th April Day 2 will consist of piped flowers using the dropped flower and flat top nail piping methods.
A range of flowers suitable will include blossoms, primroses, daffodils, sweet peas, pansies, and roses. Guidance will be given on how to mix and colour royal icing, different consistencies and their uses, how to store royal icing, identifying different nozzles for different techniques.

You’ll be housed in the old coach house, theatre or nursery. Tawstock’s history may date back almost 1,000 years, but our newly refurbished accommodation has all the mod-cons you’d expect, including wifi, power showers, TVs and, of course, quality pocket sprung mattresses to sink into.
